"An inspired line-up in an utterly beautiful remote location. Listening to Keith Worthy spinning as the sun disappeared into the sea was damn near perfect". Jack, Friendly Fires

Complete with a sterling line up soon to be announced, SMS is curated by music lovers and promoters NEED2SOUL, DEVIATION, SUBCLUB, SECRETSUNDAZE, BRIDGING THE GAP, WARM, FAVELA CHIC, BODY AND SOUL, HYBRID LIFE, and TROUBLE VISION.

More than a music/dance festival, this is a holiday in a beautiful spot. Brought forward by a like minded collective of club & concert promoters, the SMS event presents a broad selection of musical delights over 3 days & nights. With an open air main stage for cutting edge live music under the stars, a tiki bar alfresco dance floor lapped by the waves, and an incredible 70s style nightclub to lose yourself in til dawn, all capped off with raucous twice daily boat parties!

MEET THE PARTY PLANNERS:

BODY & SOUL’s legacy began in 1996 when British promoter John Davis and DJ/Producer/Remixer Francois-K launched the party at club Vinyl in New York City and were joined by residents Joaquin "Joe" Claussell and Danny Krivit. The Body & Soul Sundays became an international mecca for dance music lovers seeking to enjoy all forms of music with all the freedom of expression granted on a unified dancefloor. The party was a unique place for everyone to feel welcome, regardless of age, sex, color or social attributes.

DEVIATION BBC Radio 1 Benji B is one of the UK's most respected DJs. He has been running his club night Deviation Sessions in the East London's Gramaphone for over 3 years. Each month he installs a bespoke soundsystem on which have played the likes of Flying Lotus, J Davey, Martyn and Skream to Moodymann, Dam-Funk and many more. It is now widely regarded as one of the very best club nights in London.

SECRETSUNDAZE Over its ten-year history secretsundaze has gained a reputation as one of the most innovative, exciting and fun places to be for house and techno heads and party people alike. Over the years, the likes of Ame, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Tobi Neumann, Trevor Jackson, Luciano, Dan Ghenacia and Steve Bug have all graced the decks.

NEED2SOUL are dedicated purveyors of raw house, disco, techno, jazz, soul and more. They have proudly been doing their thing since 2004 and are well respected in the industry and a must on the calendar of every house music enthusiast.

BRIDGING THE GAP is a music and art blog curated by a collective of designers, DJs, filmmakers, producers and photographers. DALSTON SUPERSTORE opened its doors in 2009 and has been serving up exceptional music, food and drinks to the people of E8 ever since. Brought to you by the people behind Trailer Trash plus Disco Bloodbath's Dan Beaumont; the Superstore is a cafe and gallery by day, and a raucous queer dance bar by night. The roll call of DJs who have been lured to play in the basement includes Optimo, Prosumer, Erol Alkan, Rex The Dog, Hannah Holland, Daniel Wang, Spencer Parker, Horse Meat Disco and many, many more...

FAVELA CHIC is a restaurant, a bar, a club, a bordello and none of the above. It’s a gallery space, a wardrobe and an asylum, a celebration of Brazil and France and London, a rock ‘n’ roll circus “a danser la samba beat”. It’s an anachronism and a play den for the stupid, the funny and le beau. With venues in Paris and in London, Favela Chic are bringing their kaleidoscopic Franco-Brasilian musical vibe to back to the SMS shores.

TROUBLE VISION is Corsica Studios’ genre-ignoring in-house club night. Following our sell-out launch event, Trouble Vision has gone from strength to strength and, over the last 2 years since its launch, has justly earned its reputation for being one of the most exciting and, most importantly, FUN independent parties in London.

Operating with a very open music policy, Trouble Vision pride themselves on the varied nature of the line-ups and have been known to use the strap line "from dubstep to disco with everything in between"

SUBCLUB Glasgow's peerless venue brings a selection of their resident djs and favourite guests once again for pure dancefloor diversity

WARM Warm is a London based DJ agency, management and events company. Established in 2000 the Warm agency is home to some of the world's finest DJ and production talents. The Warm roster includes; Âme, Dixon, Henrik Schwarz, I:Cube, Horse Meat Disco, The Revenge, Tim Sweeney and Tensnake. Warm events are also a firm fixture on the London clubbing calendar, with previous guests including the likes of Carl Craig, Steve Bug, Prosumer Nicolas Jaar and Optimo.
