SMS mix 21 - Isa GT (Girlcore)

As a final taster of what you can expect from our very first Stop Making Sense festival this weekend we're super-stoked to present a mix from Girlcore resident and all-round cumbia-bass championing Colombian party girl Isa GT.

Isa will be playing our main stage tomorrow (Friday) night from 6-7pm and then again from 8-9pm, while Girlcore is hosting a beach party on Sunday from 8pm. Be there!

Here are a few words from the lady herself - tracklist below - about her Stop Making Sense mix...

"This is a mix to warm up peeps into what it'll be my set at the fest. A few tracks are from the upcoming Man Recordings compilation Valeu! coming out next week. Also as exclusives there's mine and Christian Castagno rmx of 'Genius of Love' by Tom Tom Club, the latest Waya Waya rmx and a collabo between Toy Selectah and J-Wow from Buraka."

Isa GT's Colombian baile funk party biz

Isa GT "Pela´o" (Crookers Remix) from Man Recordings on Vimeo.

We've long been in love with the baile funk party music of Colombian native Isabel Gonzalez Toro aka London DJ and original Girlcore club nut ISA GT, which is why we invited her to bring her bag of hip-crunching, block-rocking beats to Stop Making Sense's beach party this September.

To whet your appetites for her forthcoming exclusive SMS DJ mix, take a peek at this brand spanking new vid from the lady herself, a remix of Isa's debut single - “Pa´Chikirri” EP - by much-feted Italian bass-lovers Crookers. Enjoy!
